12 Christmassy stories to put you in a blissful Christmas mood. The one that makes you think of warm fuzzy socks, your comfortable blanket, a mug of hot chocolate and depending on which part of the world you live in, snow.
This book delivers what it tells you it will, 12 Christmas-based romance novels. I found the style of this book to be quite similar to the book Let it Snow by John Green. Stories range from an LGBT romance to a story exploring growth in relationships across a period of years.
The reason this book made the rounds on reading lists and Christmas reading lists is due to a few interesting aspects of the entire novel.
First of all, the entire novel is a collection of 12 stories, written by 12 different authors. So, each story has its unique voice and writing style, which I enjoyed.
Since each story starts and ends with a single author, the novel spans a range of story backgrounds and storylines. More importantly, this book tries to bring in a range of diversity across the board, something that isn’t often seen in teen fiction novels or YA novels. Today, authors are changing the dynamic of their stories.
This book is perfect for when you want to read something light, or just want to enjoy some YA romance fiction. I enjoyed nearly every story and would recommend this book if it falls under your preferred reading genre.
